WHAT?

Safely dispose of your prescription drugs!

Unused prescription drugs that remain in home medicine cabinets are highly susceptible to misuse. Make sure to dispose of your unused and expired medicine in an environmentally friendly manner.  Lake County offers many locations where you can drop off your medicine in a free and  safe way. Remember not to place medicine in the trash/recycling, and never flush them down the toilet as it pollutes the environment and waterways.

Participating locations: Mundelein - Deerfield - Fox Lake - Grayslake - Gurnee - Lake County Sheriff/Marine/Highway Patrol - Lake Forest - Libertyville - Mundelein - Round Lake Beach - Round Lake - Zion - and many more including several Walgreens locations
