MARIJUANA GUMMIES AND EDIBLES
DID YOU KNOW MANY TEENS PERCEIVE GUMMIES AND EDIBLES AS A “HEALTHIER” WAY TO CONSUME MARIJUANA?
Many marijuana gummies and edibles closely resemble every-day snacks. Accidental consumption and overdose can occur due to confusing packaging.
The FDA has approved only one CBD product. Limited data is available about CBD safety and the data points to real risks that need to be considered.
One cause of concern is the unreliability of the purity and dosage of CBD in products as many are inaccurately labeled.
CBD can cause side effects, such as dry mouth, diarrhea, reduced appetite, drowsiness and fatigue.
Consuming even a small amount of THC in a gummy or baked item can cause kids to experience symptoms of a marijuana overdose.
Many producers do not test their products in labs or share how they are produced. It’s difficult to know what you are getting.
