Local people are in the best position to solve specific local problems and are more likely to support what they help create. Join the Ela Coalition and together we can help our youth make healthy choices. The Ela Coalition Against Youth Substance Abuse is a community-based organization dedicated to reducing underage drinking and substance use within our community. We gather and use local data to identify prevention priorities and develop prevention initiatives specific to our youth. By building and strengthening partnerships with community members, it is our goal for the community to come together and support our youth in making healthier and safer decisions.

To reduce youth substance use and abuse by facilitating community-based education, intervention, and prevention initiatives.
Strategic Plan
In 2012, the Ela Coalition Against Youth Substance Abuse developed our first Strategic Plan. The elements of the Plan were discussed over many meetings by the Strategic Planning Committee and include our values, vision, and values. This Plan will help guide us in achieving our goals and objectives over the next several years. It also demonstrates our commitment to our youth and our community.
